Hi, Tan:
ReplyDeleteYou did a good job identifying the key concepts and linking with boolean operators. However, you should be careful with putting quotes around phrases because you are really limiting your results. If you are sure the phrase is what you want, i.e. "pet therapy" then put it in quotes but college would be better then "college students" because the articles could discuss college graduates, college degrees, etc. and be on target. Does that make sense? This is awkward and challenging at the beginning and then it become normal and it does help your searches get better results.
You didn't include your research question for full credit. You'll be using it for searching this week so please let me know what you decide on.
Cheers,
Andrea
Hi Andrea,
Deleteyes, that example did make sense. I think I got a little carried away with using the quotes. That's new to me for searching and same with the parentheses. I thought I had posted it, but saw I missed it. I then posted it in the 'Research Questions' post. Sorry about that.
